30th World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life
Today, as the Church celebrates the 30th World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, my heart is filled with gratitude for God’s faithfulness and love.
This celebration touches my life in a very personal way. I thank the Lord for 40 years of vocation, since the day I entered the Congregation in January 4, 1986—forty years of being called, formed, challenged, and continually loved by God. At the same time, we rejoice in the 70th year of foundation of our Congregation here in the Philippines, and in the grace of hosting the Council of the Institute here in our country.
Today, I give thanks not only for my own journey, but also for the generosity, availability, and collaboration of my Sisters. In these days of the Council of the Institute, I am deeply moved by the love, care, and sense of communion shared among us, across cultures, diversities, and missions. Our life together, in its simplicity and fragility, continues to be a beautiful witness of God’s grace at work.

I also give thanks for the gift of servant leadership—a path the Lord gently placed in my hands. To serve is to walk with others in a synodal way, to listen, to discern together, and to trust the Spirit more than one’s own plans. It is a grace to accompany my Sisters and to share in their joys, struggles, and hopes.
On this World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, my prayer is simple:
Lord, thank You for loving me first.
Thank You for calling me, sustaining me,
and giving me Sisters with whom to journey.
May my life continue to be a humble “yes” to Your love,
for the Church, for the Congregation,
and for all those You entrust to my care.
Great indeed is the Lord and Worthy of Praise!
