A group of us Sisters and Friends traveled to Hong Kong to celebrate the 25th Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) of the Foundation of our Presence in this vibrant and culturally rich part of the world. More than a trip, it became a pilgrimage of gratitude, memory, and renewed mission.
With me were Sisters who have journeyed with this mission through the years—our dear pioneers, a former Provincial Superiors, members of the community before and several Friends_Pauline Cooperators. Their presence was not only a tribute to the history we carry but also a testimony to God’s fidelity expressed through each one’s unique contribution.
The highlight was the Eucharistic Celebration on the day of the Foundation, June 30, the Feast of St. Paul, the Apostle. It was a solemn and beautiful liturgy filled with thanksgiving and joy. Towards the end of the Mass, i gave a message of gratitude—giving thanks to the LORD, to the Bishops, to the Priest who invited us, to the Sisters, and to all who have been part of this journey. As a meaningful conclusion, I invited the Sisters and Friends to sing together the song “My Heart’s Thanksgiving”.
We were further blessed by the generosity and warm hospitality of friends and benefactors who lovingly treated us to dinners and spent time with us, reminding us of the deep bonds that have grown through the years.
Truly, it was a happy and meaningful celebration—a blend of fraternity, prayer, memory, and hope.
THANK YOU, LORD! May we always be filled with creativity and zeal as we fullfill our mission to bring Jesus Master to all, especially to the challenging multicultural reality of Hong Kong society.
