My recent visit to our Sisters in Japan has been a truly meaningful and fruitful mission. It was a time filled with gratitude, inspiration and deeper understanding.
One of the highlights was attending the Jubilee Celebration of our Sisters, their 75th Foundation Anniversary—a beautiful witness of fidelity and an active presence in the Church of Japan lived out across decades. Their serene joy, quiet strength, and enduring commitment moved me deeply. I felt as though I was standing on sacred ground, surrounded by lives poured out in love and service.

An equally significant grace was the opportunity to speak personally with our dear Mother General. Her presence was, as always, deeply maternal—attentive, supportive, and encouraging. In our conversation, I felt her unwavering concern and concrete assistance, just like a real mother walking beside her daughters. Her words and listening heart were a gift, reminding me once again of the strength that comes from communion and shared mission.
Another profound experience was seeing firsthand the reality of our Japanese Sisters, most of whom are now in their senior years—75 % are elderly. Their gentleness, simplicity, and unwavering dedication touched me. Being with them…just for a few days – helped me see our own elderly Sisters in a new light—opening my heart further to their quiet wisdom, their needs, and the depth of their spiritual richness.

This visit has been more than a mission—it has been a moment of communion, a deepening of love, and a reaffirmation of the beauty of consecrated life across cultures and generations.
As Pilgrims of Hope, i pray that our LORD and MASTER may continue to bless their community with peace, strength, and renewed joy in the mission.
