As we enter more deeply into the mystery of Holy Week, I find myself drawn to the Cross—not merely as a symbol of suffering, but as a living invitation to contemplate the One who gave everything out of love. This is a sacred moment to pause, to gaze, and to remember the Man on the Cross…
In this silent encounter, I hold close the words of Pope Francis: “During this Lenten season, let us pray by looking at the Crucified Lord. Let us open our hearts to the touching tenderness of God, and in his wounds place our own wounds and those of our world.”
Tingni, masdan ang Tao sa Krus — Siya ang ating Kaligtasan, halina’t Siya’y sambahin.
Gazing at the Man on the Cross…
The Man who brought me into this world,
Who planted in me the seed of love, the seed of vocation.
The Man who sustains me and strengthens my day to day journey. Who walks beside me in silence, especially when the road is rough. This Man — died on the Cross not just for me, but for all of us. He bore our sins, carried our sorrows, and touched our wounds with compassion. He embraced our brokenness, and in return, gave us the fullness of love. He is the Man who has risen – victorious over death, offering us new life, fresh hope, new beginnings, and unending mercy. To gaze upon Him is to encounter the face of Love itself….the face of tenderness and compassion. To be looked upon by Him is to be renewed, restored, and forever changed.

Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus,
As I gaze upon You on the Cross,
Pierce my heart with Your love and awaken in me the memory of Your sacrifice.
May I never grow indifferent to the price of my salvation.
Help me live each day in grateful remembrance,
Sharing Your mercy with a world in need of healing.
You are my LORD, my Savior, my Hope and my Life.
AMEN.
