Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous;
teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to seek reward,
except that of knowing that I do your will. Amen

Dearest Lord, Teach Me To Be Generous;

Teach Me To Serve You As I Should,

To Give And Not To Count The Cost,

To Fight And Not To Heed The The Wounds,

To Toil And Not To Seek For Rest,

To Labor And Ask Not For Reward,

Save That Of Knowing That I Do Your Most Holy Will.

Today, the 31st of July is the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Honoring him, I am sharing with you his prayer…one of my favorite prayer which I love to sing to remind me always that JESUS, our Lord and Master, our Teacher, will teach me -us always to be generous.
