CHILDHOOD MEMORIES ON SEA WAVES

While capturing the movements of the children playing on the seashore my mind goes back to my childhood days. One of the wonderful memories I had was playing on the seashore…maybe then…the sea and the seashore was our playground. If I remember right, I learned how to swim at the age of 3. As Kids, we found a lot of things to do on the seashore. Every afternoon coming from the school we go straight to the seashore gathering sea shells and pebbles even drift wood and Talisay fruit, and we built sand castles but most of all playing with the sea waves. Oh how I loved the big waves running after us and the contests to who could run fast ..

It’s quite vivid now, how the sea just surges up with our cries and laughters when the waves run after us. Did I knew then that we were dancing with the waves? Maybe no. A lot of times we went swimming during “Habagat” time….this is the time of big waves, as we all knew winds at sea generate waves at an average of 10 feet high. Aren’t we fearful then? No, we were fearless, we were not afraid of the big waves…but our parents are…LOL…not only did the waves run after us but also our mothers were running after us their children with a slipper on their hand ready to spank us.

What a wonderful memory, an enthralling time to look back.

Thank you Kids for reminding me my own happy, lively and healthy childhood.

Thank you LORD for today’s experience with the Kids playing on the seashore.

Triviaaccording to study those who live near the sea are more healthier and happier than those living inland.
